The sourcing problem

Sourcing single-origin you can actually stand behind is hard.

Most green coffee reaches the US through layers of intermediaries — inconsistent lots, opaque supply chains, prices marked up at every step, and no real story to hand your own customers.

Inconsistent lots

Quality that drifts cup to cup, season to season.

Opaque chains

No traceability back to the farm, the slope, or the people.

Stacked markups

Every middleman takes a cut before it reaches your roastery.

No story to sell

Nothing that lets your shelf command a premium.

More than coffee

A living páramo, in every cup.

The páramo is where the Andes make water — a fragile high-altitude ecosystem of frailejón plants found almost nowhere else on Earth. Farming it with care protects biodiversity and the water millions depend on, and lets the families who tend it earn more by selling direct.

For every pound you roast, a piece of the páramo stays standing.

Wholesale questions, answered

Everything a US buyer asks first.

Where is Frailejones Café coffee grown?

Frailejones Café is grown at about 2,000 m in Urrao, Antioquia, Colombia, on the edge of the high-Andean páramo, by the Ecos del Páramo family of growers.

Does Frailejones Café sell wholesale to the United States?

Yes. Ecos del Páramo supplies US roasters, distributors, cafés and importers directly — in bulk and full-container volumes, shipped direct from origin.

What coffee varieties and lines do you offer?

Three single-origin lines from Urrao at 2,000 m, washed process: Bosque (blend — chocolate, nut, caramel), Cumbre (Chiroso — floral, sweet, citric) and Páramo (blend — panela, red fruit, floral). Available green or roasted.

Can I request samples before ordering?

Yes — you can request physical samples with no commitment through the wholesale form. We'll match samples to the profile and volume you're after.

What are the minimum order quantities?

We work from small sample lots up to full containers. Tell us your target volume in the form and we'll quote the right tier — from a few hundred pounds a month to container-scale.

How is this different from buying through the Federación?

We trade direct: better traceability, more consistent lots, and a larger share of the price going back to the farming families — instead of being aggregated and marked up through intermediaries.

What are your sustainability practices?

The coffee is shade-grown under native canopy and washed at altitude, farmed to protect the páramo's water and biodiversity. Buying direct helps keep the frailejón moorland standing.

How do I get wholesale pricing?

Request pricing through the form, book a call, or message us on WhatsApp. Share your role, country and target volume and we'll send a direct-trade quote.
